"Chilean Education and the role of future teachers"

First of all, I think that Chilean Education of this time is very different and difficult, because from one side teachers must confront behaviors that they weren’t used to confront or to face with their students and also the other side, that involve many aspects that provoke this situation.
I agree with some people that the roots of these problems comes deeper than we think, I’m referring specifically to the government, maybe the goals that they expect to get are not really focus on the reality of this country. I feel that out country doesn’t have an identity in relation to education, and it is a problem that comes from a long time ago, and now the consequences are appearing, mainly on student’s behavior. Nowadays, from my personal point of view I believe also that teachers have forgotten some aspects that are fundamental in Education, mainly values, but that it is just a part because it is impossible to don’t give the main responsibility to the Family and probably our society change in relation to it, for me a sad situation.
In relation to me as a future teacher, I must say that I am scared, because students are so difficult , mainly teenagers, that I’m seriously thinking I’m going to start teaching to little kids, they haven’t lost respect for others “in a way” and that gives me hope, I need to give them values, I know that my first task is to teach them about English, but my heart tells me that I’m for something else not only for giving them English tools, according to our reality, the world has lost the real meaning of life, and in a way if I can stop all those bad things in my future students I promise that I will be satisfy and very happy. I must confess that I’m not sure yet about if this is my vocation, sometimes I feel that is not, maybe I made a mistake choosing this career and I will figure it out the next year, and that makes me feel nervous, but at the same time motivated, for me to be the teacher that I want to be is a big challenge, and I know that I will make it, I promised to myself.
